Headlight for project (or something)

http://saskatoon.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-motorcycles-motorcycle-parts-accessories-Sportster-parts-and-custom-stuff-W0QQAdIdZ209951010

F'ya cut and paste yill find the the headlight i just bought. It's a teardrop shape (point to the bottom) from and Indian Scout. It's a big azz mo'fo! I'm not sure if its gonna be the right size for my honda project, or if its to big. It'll either look way cool or way wrong. If any of you local builders are interested, I may trade it for a 5".

No batteries required

So the CT1, I've discovered, has what'cha call a flywheel magneto. Long & short of it...no battery, no rectifier, still make ring ding. I ran the theory past Gary whom I bought the bike from and he assured me he had the bike running as it sits today. No battery, no rectifier. So long as you don't want to run a bunch of accessories this setup should work fine because of that magnetic personality...sooo why won't it start?

10 day bobber build... Day Two!

got the rear fender cut and mounted. made a Battery and electrical box. got it all mounted up. Its real slick. easy access nice a clean from the side. Also got some work done on the tank put a bottom in it, still needs the tunel and all the mounts, petcock and gas filler. made a paper seat pan template for tommorw. Work all day and all evening..... Sooooo tired.....

10 day bobber build.... Day ONE

so miss Hambone is gone to texas to be a country music star. so i has ten days to get this thing done. "In the bike building system, fugly based offenses are considered especially heinous. In Martensville, the dedicated builders who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad, known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories."

Gold Wing Gold

Rode out to Grahams in Aberdeen with Keno today to pick up few bits for the CT1. He had this Gold wing with a classy paint job on the tank and the hard bags matched it. Niiccee.

Bad Ass Mod's other ride

Antiquated... yes 1967. Mule... well not so much, but it still counts!
And he's letting me take it out when he's not, so if you've got a destination, Let's go!

BF Goodrich Silvertown

For HamBone. BF Goodrich makes these silvertowns and I think you can gett'em in 16" or 18" to fit motorcycle rims. Might be just the thing.

CT1 Dirt Tracker Conversions

CT1 XS Hybrid

Oh My Gaad! If the little CT1 lives long enough it may get a 650 engine, because this is the coolest! Read the whole article here. I can't believe he made that shit fit.

Flin Flon?

When wazzat again? Aug 27-29?

Ok never mind, a little more research and I have my answer, consider me stoked. I think Sr.'s in also. If he doesn't get some crops in soon , he'll maybe have time to do that 440 kit on his DRZ400SM....

I'm gonna have to get my seat shape changed just a little. Anybody know a good place to get it recovered after? or know how to do it?
The way it is wit those old maxims, the slant is too far forward and i just vibrate down towards the gas tank until I'm sitting on my ballsaK. Not so great for putting this miles on. There has to be something better....

According to the guy from attack choppers, all you need is just to remove the seat and throw down a little peice of towel! Harararar! I am not not that tough. He is waaaaaaaay more punk than me.

Now this is Art!

AKA Gallery on 20th has a great exhibition on right now called Gearheads. Toronto artist Steve Laurie has built a burn-out machine seen here layin' blackies outside the gallery.

The other artist involved is a guy I met a few years back; Local bike builder/artist Ray Lodoen.

You may have seen Ray cruzin' around on a little yellow Honda 350 hardtail he built. It's beautiful. Now it looks like he's showin off a few things at the gallery too. Go Check'em out. Gettin' cultured and greasy all at the same time. Just tell the wife you wanna take her to see an art exhibition.

Progress!!!......

(Sort of...) Was out at Sr.'s today so me, him and sonnyboy rolled the little twin project into the shop and bust out the grinder. There were two metal bars welded onto the frame so the p.o. could run a suzuki seat on the honda bike. Because it was free-er that replacing the missing original I would assume. Those two bars were preventing me from removing the stock airbox and throwing it out. I managed to grind one off before real life kicked (me) in (the nuts). But it falls under the category of better than nothing, b/c now i'm more motivated. Plus once you've had a grinder on it its officially a "chopper project" right?

The Fringes of Born Free

Found these shots on my phone from the streets leading up to the show.
Most of this shit wasn't even entered to win. This is just what the
BFII crowd rolled up on.

Shit I loved at Born Free II

Okay so I shot over 200 shots at born free II but I'm only gonna post a few cuz damn...
The amount of cool shit I didn't shoot probably out-weighs all the cool shit I've ever shot. Bike shows around here usually show 2 or three bikes that really make you smile. the rest is new school OCC ball sweat. Sooo this was off the hook. And I don't use gay terms like "off the hook" unless that shit was unreal enough to make me loose my fucking mind.

Favorite shot:
Love this pic below. The bike in the foreground won "most way out". Great category, beautiful bike.

This is gonna take a while...sweet.

Sounding the trumpets:
Turns out I love fucking Triumphs. I mean I knew I loved Trumps, but man. Seems I really love 'em cuz damn did I end up with a lot of favorites from the British Isles.

Here's a piece of Canadian Honda Bacon I've shown before as inspiration for Billy Sastard's 400, but this time with new paint.

A lot of the shit I dugg-on was bit's and bob's. Paint, tanks, sissy bars, all those accents that make a machine personal.

Celeb's:
I'm gonna keep most of my "celebrity sighting" photos to myself outta shame, couldn't be helped. but to all those bikers and bloggers who inspire me on a daily basis...I have your picture and yeah you can be certain that shit's creepy. I will however share this one with you, because I think it's a badass shot of a badass builder. respect.

Winner's got just what was comin' to them and at times, just a little lick more.

Great fuckin show! Amazing that I got a chance to be there. Pretty lucky boy for sure. Heading back to my rental car I caught this beauty that really cherried my day. Probably the sweetest 650 I've seen. period.
