Poor boys blues bar.

Friday night took dagger over to my buddy deans place For some bikes blues and beers. What a cool place he has out there. A full on blues bar right in his old garage. Met some new dudes that are into cool stuff. Was able to check out Bernie's 124 ci s and s power plant bernie swing arm frame. Sick sick bike.

Had such a blast talking to Bernie about the old days with Stark and his up coming projects. And wow does he ever have Skill and imagination. Showed Bernie a pic of my shovel frame and guess what kinda frame it is... Yep it's a Stark frame made in red deer in 1993. Which Bernie machined the neck for!!!!

I know where I am going to be Friday nights Deans place.

Mad JC UniKiller

The fellas over at Mad Jap in Cowtown have got this magical beast up for sale right now. It'll be featured in the December issue of Street Choppers, but you saw it here first. Now the bike looks pretty magical from the side with the purity white paint and rainbow tank, but upon closer inspection...

...that's right. JC is the UniKillah! Rad.

Pan Cone

Caught wind of a neat mutt on the va-JJ (jockey journal) tonight. Jason, aka sixball(z) has this cone shovel, evo, pan thing goin' on. I've seen a few Knuck heads transplanted onto the cone bottom ends before, there's even rumors of one happening locally (very hush hush), but THIS I've not come accross. Any mutt is a mule indeed so here's a link to some details.

Another Mule Mile

With Summer's as short as they are around these parts a few of us have decided another few thousand miles on the less muley machines wouldn't hurt. Two days to go. Friday morning we leave for Jasper and the Rocky Mountains.

box

Built a build box. The best part is that it's hinged to the wall and rolls out easily to access both sides of the bike. Only raises it up 16" but what a difference. When your garage is this tiny, space saving genius like this really makes me happy.

Picked up another fxwg basket case

And I had'er back together in a half'an hour! Can't seem to get it fired up though.

Tiny Garage English style

I've been collecting images of other Tiny Garages from the net and came across this beauty on the SouthSiders Site. The best part is the name of the shop, The Rockerbox. Fantastic. Check out more here.

REC(tom) SUPPLY suCks Ass

Is it so fucking difficult? I mean I ask you. Quick as I can tell it,
went to rec. needed chain and sprockets for the honda. Why do I ALWAYs get stuck with the biggest douche of them all (you know the guy. never leaves his stool, hat backwards, looks mildly retarded). Hooked me up with a chain and sprockets for $100 less than Powerhouse Honda. Great. haagh. (big sigh) but... The chain is 4 links too short. So Either the catalogue doesn't even have accurate info in it OR this guys is actually dumber than I thought. Went back today got a longer chain for even less money. Fine. HAAGH (BIG SIGH) went to install, no master link. Call RECtom, "There's a screw-up with the fix to your screw-up, screw-up." "Oh well, ah, we don't have any master links in stock.......(long pause) I can probably get one by Thursday!"

and on and on. Someone remind me on a weekly basis, please, that I do NOT want to go back there.

dreams of NHRA

Modern Chop Monday

A lot of us feel the need to dis anything post-cone shovel when it comes to custom harley's. And with the gaudy, often outlandish, OCC Theme bike claptrap, often sporting post-shovel HD's or ULTIMA or big S&S's, who can blame us. That said, I couldn't help but think that there's got to be someone out there building nice, clean, simple modern customs. So with that I propose a Modern Chop Monday. I'll try and find some builders and bikes out there that aren't trying to make a "retro bobber" out of new bikes or copying the over the top stretched designs of West Coast Choppers or OCC. So Here's the first, although to be honest it turns out this crossbones is a photochopped image. Found Here.

If you know of any tasteful modern customs send them my way and I'll post them on Mondays.

Frazetta Fairwell Friday

Well I finally made a deal on the Tracy body and it's shippin' out today. It's a shame that I'll never get to build the Frazetta Digger I had planned, but the Shovel project won't finance itself. This is as close to the vision as I ever got.

Here's a pic of what I had in mind, anyway.
