It's alive! Unfortunately I had some battery issues, it's only 5 years old & wouldn't take a charge, go figure.
And my ride left town an hour after this was taken so I won't get to test out that new swing arm till next weekend. But it sure sounds nice!

Spring time lovin for Dale

Fairwell Mule Party

Well our boy Hambone is off at the end of next week to begin a new life in BC. So to send him off with a bang and a hangover I'm putting together a night of fire and fun on Thursday May 3rd from 8:30 'til Late. There will be a fire and a heater on in the shed, but it may not be super warm so dress right and byob. Chopper parking is available in the alley for easy access to the party. If you know Lee, me or any of the Mules, you're welcome to join the evening. If you're looking for an introduction and an invite give me a shout.

**UPDATE(s)**
Venue Change: Due to inclement weather the shin diggery will go down at Casa De Jessop instead of 10 ninjas yard. If yall know where Brian lives b there. otherwise shoot us a line for directions.

Fixin' in the rain

So the Spot lights on The Ghetto were more than a little busted up and not really salvageable sooo...

I cut up the existing light bar and altered the mounting plates so that I could bolt the signal lights to the sides of them and position them similarly to the Street Glides.

Before

After

Yes. It was pissing rain and there I was wiring signals and bolting shit together. Dear Lord how I need a proper garage.

Bagged me a bagger

Not really sure how to say it, but I bought a big ol' Winnebago of a steamboat. Aaaaaoooooogaaahhh!! Lee hooked me up with the 411 of a guy he works with who had this SGI Salvage special. He'd bought it and rode it around for a year or so all banged up and then dumped it again breaking even more of the chomey bits off. Enter 10 Ninjas. Hey how the hell else do you expect a single income family man to afford to buy two Harleys in the one year? So I sold off the Honda and basically traded that bike straight across for this 2003 Harley Davidson FLHT Electra Glide Standard. She's not much of a looker just yet, but with a little elbow grease and some help from friends it'll get me sailing in comfort this summer. So without further adieu let me introduce the latest horse in the 10Ninjas stable, the Ghetto Glide.

First order of business was to remove some chrome. Chrome won't get you home so it's gotta go.
Next was to glue the right side bag back together. Had all the pieces so I glued it all back and then reinforced it with some plastic slabs bolted through the pieces. Hoping that'll hold it all together. Soooo Ghetto.

Good-bye Reliability, Hello Retirement

Well the Honda is gone. I'm a little sad to see her go, for sure. We've been a lot of places together and I gotta say she's never let me down, but we're movin onto BIGGER and better things. Stay tuned for the replacement.

Just a few of the 11,000 kms I put on the odo while she was mine.

Choppa cruisin

Got to join Lee on a cruise yesterday and did a proper shake down. Best ride ever.

Chopper porn.

Just gets to me. Took her out on the hi-way today for the first time. And let me tell you it's fast, powerful and loud. Past a car like it was standing still then gave it more gas and it pulled like a bats out of hell. Then I got scared. Ture story.

Dirk's bottom end is sweet

Uuhhh...ok that didn't sound right. Anyway, got an invite to Dirk's Garage last night cuz I've been buggin him to see this '38 UL he's building. After a bunch of machining here and there he was ready to put the cases back together. Very cool project. Can't wait to see it progress. Thanks for the invite Dirk.

Another year over

Well another Cycle Mania come and gone. On the last day we came home with no awards, but had a good last day non-the-less.

Lee presented Csik with the first annual Hambone Kustoms Super Sik Chopper award because well, it was the super sikest chopper we'd ever seen built around here.

Good times were had. Here's a little something to end the post with. It really shows the quality of build Hambone puts into his shit. Watch the girder as he spikes the throttle for this burner.

Show highlights

Here's some highlights from the bike show so far.

First, Cory T's CB750 rebuild. I think Cory has had this bike a while, but completely rebuilt it into this masterpiece over winter. The paint, by Cole, is unbelievable. Great bike.

Next up is Csik's insane in the brain bike. The level of detail on this ride is mind blowing. So so so so sick it's indescribable. My pick for best in show fo sho!

Another favorite is Sluggo's Junk Yard Dog. Although not an official entry this year due to another month of work or so needed for wiring and a few other essentials, but a great budget chop. Sluggo's joining a pack of shovel's and pans for a journey south this summer to Sturgis on this ankle biter. So jealous.
