Obviously awesome. Thanks to Brian, FiftysHaze, all the sponsors, and especially the weary travelers who came from afar to meet, greet, swap, and shop. I had a fucking blast.
Issue 40 is out and you ought'a git'it. Big congrats to Brian over at 50's for his Pan/Shovel spread and thanks for the opportunity to shoot it. The bike is amazing.
Get yer greasy extras boxed up cuz it's swappin' time. Loco from 50's Haze is opening his yard up for one amazing afternoon of chopper trades. Git there. Obviously I'll be there just to meet the handsome hobo pictured here.
Spotted a local 50's Hazer in the crowd at BF3 waiting to win his Knuck. Pulled the pic from lostdogsmc. If you're not sick of seeing the Born Free III show picks yet, they've got a couple great sets to peruse.
Me and the cone shovel took the Mule over to Brian's last night for an insiders look, measurement and inspection. After venturing cold instruments into dark places, Doc Jessop gave the mill a clean bill of health. Looks like we're working with mid-life jugs (030) with aftermarket pistons, standard four and a quarter 80" stroke with no scoring or damage to speak of. Gonna get quick de-glazing over there and then we're in business.
I also got the chance to take Brian's Pan-Shovel for a little belt around the block just to light a fire under my ass. Shit! that thing rides like a dream. Hopefully I'll get the 4 speed and primary worked out soon and I can try to fire up the project just to keep my spirit warm through the winter. Thanks again, brother, for the complete physical and the born free goody bag.
I'm calling you out, brother. I've seen a lot of pics of your bike in town this year, man. When are you gonna roll this thing past my place so I can see it up close? Where's the love? Pun, fully intended.
