Snow is falling.

Yes it's that time where we don't see the outside for 5 months or so. I am guessing that everyone has a busy building season as do I. Been working on lots of bars lately. Made a killer set for Willie the Pan shovel, they are super comfy.

Also am beginning to make the sissy bar.

Going to red deer for the fall swap meet so trying to get some product done so I can supply homies with there building needs. Should be lots of fun Jord and Brian should be there so we'll have to meet up and have a brew.

Gave the old shovel a steam bath to warm up after just incase we head into the freeze and I don't get another chance to blow off the dusty roads Du Keeps made me ride.

From Swamp Donkey to Water Mule

So I did a few interior patches and got the inside painted nice a few weeks back
The next weekend I got a primer coat on.
Finally decided on a colour and although I wasn't going with the metal flake some assholes put a bug in my ear and I ended up spending way too much on what has turned out to be the proper metal flake paint.

It is a full on ameture job but is looking pretty sweet.
Polished some bits and put them on last weekend.
I am over the hump on this one just some seats to do up get the engine back on and a steering wheel and it'll be ready.... I am thinking I will be done the day the last lake in SK finally freezes over completely. But at least I will free up the garage to get started on the next one on the list.  Next summer is going to be sweet living on the lake!

On the road

Great afternoon of road trippin. Out towards Diefenbaker lake, over to Broaderick for a beer, to Kenaston, up to Dundern and home. Shovel ran like a top.
Traveled in good company. Thanks gents, for a fine day.

Bars and fender

Made a set of bars for a customer down in Texas. Kinda a ape meet rabbit sort of thing.

Also worked a bit on the pan shovel.

Welded the stuff to the fender also sissy bar mounts. Going to put set screws into the holder to hold the sissy bar in place.

Thanksgiving Mule Flogging

Gave the Dirty DT a good healthy flogging this long weekend. Got her all "winterized" with a thick coat of mud and muck.

Even Carole got the bug this weekend. Had her riding up and down the resort all afternoon.

Potatos?

Getting closer with this old girl, just in time to put her away. I rode over to Dave's new place last night and after a couple hours of her sitting out in 2 degree weather she was not wanting to start. Once I finally got her heart beating though, the cool air was just what she wanted. Hope I can get a few more miles before the deep freeze hits.

Be thankful for what all you got

Lots to be thankful for this year. Trying harder to remember all year'round.

It alive!

Worked on one of the xr 75's this evening. And it's alive and running pretty good. It sure is a good feeling bring a once broken down motorcycle back to life no matter what the make or size. I am on my way to becoming a motor guy.
