Make your own tools

I didn't have a bottoming tap and I needed one, so on the advise from a knowledgeable farmer I cut off a tapered tap, ground it flat and then used the matching dia to clean the tip.

It worked great.... unfortunately after testing the damn choke the car still won't start if it is cold and there is still gas leaking out of the choke. The heat mass, however, is snug and secure on the choke body. So at least that bit worked even if I did spend 4 hours with no fucking results aside from finding an exhaust leak.
