Stellar Specimen!

Sastard Sr.'s Norton Atlas 750..........
Would look real great if it weren't a basket case in his basement. I'm nearly 33, its been in the basement in "non depreciating condition" for more than half my life. It was raced, put down, repaired, and then it rode like shit because it was discovered post op that the frame was bent. Dad bought it, stripped it, sent it to edmonton, probably to john oland or another biggar brit biker connection, and had it straightend. Upon its return he excitedly screwed in the lump, ordered some parts, chucked the exhaust pipes in the rafters and set the thing in the corner of the basement where its still radiating it's, um, sawdusty excitement. and waiting for the magic money fairy to throw 3000bux at it. Ok, so lets do math. It's got no where in almost 20 years, the old boy's 53 or something, at progress percent per year, = bugger all. Simon may have a hellova vintage project. Lets hope he gets some skills that skip a generation.
Someday ill post some pics.

Trunk Projects

How much do I love a trunk so big that I can fit an xs650 frame, a CCM lowrider project, various mule parts and still have room for full-size spare. I bet I could get another two projects in their yet. It's like my own mobile offsite storage facility for the Tiny Garage Rod Shop.

V1000 G5 Goose

So Billy's Pa pulled a battery from the farm's rider mower, dusted of the funny mounted V-twin, and rode the Goose on our recent trip to Wasky. So I thought I'd do a post dedicated to the beautiful Italian Bird.

Brembo brakes. Guzzi was quality in '79.

'
Shaft drive, dual disc brembo brakes, a starter that looked like it came outta my chevy and a sound that is purely classic Italy.

Victim # 1

Just bought a '79 xs650 frame. $60. Fire up the angle grinder it's
chopping time. Keno gotta front fender from the same guy fer $25.

Waskesiu 2009

Overnighter to Waskesiu with the boys. We had Ninjas, Keno, Sastard, Sastard's Dad Sastard Sr., and Stu.
Took a few Lomo Quad cams, but not so many worked out. Shooting while riding skills need improving.

Sastard Sr.'s Guzzi, Keno in back.

Had to pull over and let the Fish Police get ahead of us once we hit the park so that we could lean into some of the windy woodsy roads.

So there must be something about my bikes and Waskesiu. Both trips hacve resulted in my bike breaking down. This time it was the VT750.

Nothing too serious, but the bolt must have fallen out of the drum linkage so when I stepped on the rear brakes the link arm was the only thing holding back the force. Caused the drum to spin around and bend the shit out of the arm (see below) and actually snap the linkage rod.

Used the broken piece of the linkage rod to bolt the arm back onto the drum once it was spun back around. A little Duct tape for insurance and we're on our way again, but with no more rear binders.

CB 550

This would be my "4-on-the-floor"
#1 is actually just a frame now. Doin the "grindy-grindy". Took off a few pounds already. Now just needs some finishing work and then paint 'er up boys.
How fast do you want to go today?
Had to shut 'er down. Was getting a little hard to see what I was doing. However the angle grinder did throw a fair bit of light. A burn-y light though. Try not to get your face to close!

Kill you yes, but....

Imagine the Possibilities!

My wife is gonna kill me..
