Reversed Engine Block

Remember that reversed engine block? What was that, a Triumph? Anybody have a pic of it? Check out Yamaha's new YZ450F! Reversed engine! Carb & air cleaner where the gas tank used to be, tank now under seat. Improved C of G. Slanted the engine too. Lots of other new tricks. Holy Rad-ness!

    apparently this was common practice for drag bikes back in the day. I've seen a number of old draggin's and bonneville salties with this set-up. But on a ratty street chopper it's the best for sure. Nice to see the YZ using early 1960's technology in the dirt.
