"Carefully pry out oil seal, using folded rag to protect outer tube." Sounds simple, eh?
im sure sr. would tell ya to heat it up with something. and then spit on it.
ReplyDeleteGraeme Rutherford writes me and says: "Use a small propane torch and slowly bring the end of the tube up to a nice warm temp, just hot enough so you can grab it but not hold on too long. with a seal puller or a screw driver, carefully pry up from the inside, moving the screwdriver a little at a time to keep it coming out evenly. WAD UP A RAG and place it on the edge of the tube so that your not prying against the metal, scoring or cracking it. I've done this many times, works like a charm. Ride safe buddy! "
