Du Keeps was talking about guys mounting washers inside their straight pipes like butterfly valves to control the back pressure and I was pretty sure he was fulla shit 'til I saw this...
Thanks buddy. This guy could have cleaned it up a bit with some wing nuts or something. But yeah, that's basically what I was talking about. Personally I would try run them up into the pipes a few inches as well so they don't look like shit. Likely won't matter without rubber on the wheels. It's on my short list of exhaust options for the CB550 project as straight pipes are really only good at wide open throttle.
Hambone...how did yours run with straight pipes? Did you have to re-jet?
