  1. HMmmm. 1930's-early 40's....not a triumph...not a norton, bsa, or arial, ajs, thinking thinking. or should I say googling googling. same thing.

  2. i was thinking norton at first but... how about a 1929 BSA sloper?

  3. I thought Hambone had it. But now I don't think so, different frame. Then I thought Royal Enfield as it shares many parts with the Sloper (Ariel & Velocette too) But not the engine. The closest engine would be the 1929 triumph OHC prototype, but the bike is different. Blah, blah, blah, that eventually led me to my best guess as a ~1929 Matchless. Those bikes were swimming in a very shallow gene pool.

  5. Aw man. I dunno. It looks an aweful lot like a '38 triumph speedtwin, but the engine's wrong. The engine looks a lot like a croker and I'm pretty sure I've got the year close so my vote is a late '30's Croker. Sloper is a good guess though. I was thinkin' sloper too.

  6. Here's some clues. I promise not to blow it wide open for ya.
1st clue not helpful- its not (quite) as old as your guessing.
2nd- an important part of this bike shared a nickname with other breeds.

  9. Hey! Right you are my man! Actually its a 1937 Panther. I believe that makes it am M100. Nice work! Help yourself to a cigar, and/or a big fat bowl on zombie night.
So, do tell us how you came upon the answer? Fluke? Looking up that panther the porn star?

note: apologies to ninja for a misleading clue. I was refering to it not being as old as 1929. We must have been posting at the same time, and yours came up before mine, and i didnt see it or something. I should stop drinking and bloging. should, but im not.
