Sissy Jig Pt.2

Okay I've officially made my first sissy bar from scratch. Turned out pretty frickin' well. Not perfect, but for my first, I'm pleased. I need a longer piece of 1/2" round to make the sissy I'm thinking of, but this one's pretty tall...I guess.

Saw this kick-ass new school Indian cruisin' Warman. Check out the Indian Chief Skull left-hand Jockey shifter. Awesome.

Sissy Jig Pt.1

So I went by Inland Scrap metal today and picked out a 3'X3' 1/4" plate and some 1' thick-ass tube to bild the jig wit.

Doesn't look like much but that fucker weighs over 120lbs.

Put'er in the back of the Mule shop truck an' set-up in the yard. Cut up the tubes to bend around and we'll trace out a shape tomorrow, drill the holes, mount the tube-bits and bend some sissies up. Stoked!

Metal Search

Any of you mules have laying around on farms, at cabins, in basements, a piece of 1/4" flat steel that measures 2' X 3'? I want to make a jig for heating and bending sissy bars and need a big flat base to work with. Payment may include beer or sissy bars. Here's the idea:

Note the VB stubby in the upper right of this one. Somebody got paid for their steel in Aussie beer. Probably a Kiwi.

Random Radness

There has been a noticeable lack of random radness on the Mule as of late. So as an attempt to stimulate the RR posts I present this...

...which is both random and rad.

Du Keeps cabin shop

Spent Halloween playing a gig in Wakaw. Keeps an'me stayed up drinking
whiskey and water 'till 4:30. We were glad for the water part later in
the morning. Great little wrenching room in back of the cabin for bikes.
