Mule Riding Division Closed for the Season

Well that pretty much does it. Other than a few drunken escapades that are bound to emerge throughout the long Saskatchewan winter, I believe we have probably reached the end of the riding season. So what does winter look like?

With that. I declare building season to be in full production. Bought a new ceramic heater for the shed and will be putting in the storm windows today. Lets get these projects sorted!

And just a demonstration for those who think fuel injection is the only way to get a bike running in the cold. Dale was ready to ride today as always.

Running out of weather

Still not too bad a day for a ride. Fingers got a bit cold on the highway, but around town fine. Bike's extra barky in the cold. Sweet. As much as I love the mules, when starting a big bike below freezing, fuel injection sure is nice. She did have an opinion on where her life has taken her though. I think she's having a hard time adjusting from her previous life in sunny Miami. Ran perfectly but was only going to give me the absolute bare necessities. The motor. No lights, no speedo, no indicators, no odo, no nothing. Everyone's entitled to their opinions, even bikes. Felt pretty good though, pure. Tasted some of that essence of biking again today.

Total = 6895mi (11,121km) this summer. It was a good year.

Last minute Invitation

Du Keeps and me are playing some tunes at Amigos tonight with our old classic rock band. Haven't played together since March and we've got a last minute drummer replacement so we could use all the support we can get. We'll probably go on around 10-10:30 and play til the wee hours. Com'on out if you're in the S'toon area.
