Victim # 1

Just bought a '79 xs650 frame. $60. Fire up the angle grinder it's
chopping time. Keno gotta front fender from the same guy fer $25.

  1. So ya doing the bolt(weld) on hard tail? I notice there is no swingarm. Are you scamming parts off of your current 650 or scrounging bits from elsewhere? Going to bring life to that box of bits you got from yer cuz? Looks like you could be well on your way. Keep us posted.

  3. Got a grinder (65% off last year). Dunno what's gonna power it just yet. Probably the 650 will be the donar, but I'll deal with hardtailing the frame first and worry about the rest when that's done.

  5. If you go looking for a hardail kit, try looking for an amen saviour tail for your 650. looks hard but has a nifty spring setup. saves your back, eats your chains. yoyo rear wheel action. very retro and cool.
