Personality Crisis

So after running into some issues with a badly bitched Hydra-Glide adjustable rake triple tree I started pissing around with variations of mock-ups on the shovel project again. And although I think the damage done to the hydras-glide trees is salvageable, I'm now having a mid-build crisis and rethinking the bike, again. So many rad options available. So here's a few of the mocks that have existed from day one to current incarnations. Let me know what you think. Some of them are more resolved and others you'll have to use your imagination on the final look.

4 over 41mm tubes and a 3 degree rake.

Stock length and rake w/ flanders risers, z bars, and solo seat.

Same as above w/ 2 piece 2-up seat.

3 degree rake w/ banana wassell.

Same as above w narrowed fatbobs.

3 degree rake w/split tanks HamBone bars and 2-up

stock rake length w/buck horns and pan risers, solo seat.
stock length/rake w/ shovel bars and solo seat.

More better sissy bar.

Check this one out. I dig it. Matches the new bars a lot better

A little leverage is all you need

With the engine back in the frame I was able to get the clutch basket off without the special tool.  The impact I have wasn't enough to get the nut off. Gotta love the big snipe!

Front End Again

Not sure why I bought it, but it was a good price, local, and I needed the brake lines that came off of it. Anyway. Options. 78-83 FX/FXE/FXR/XL dual disk 35mm front end.

But they are a bitch to handle and get together.

Laced up

Really stoked on how this paint job is looking. Now just need to wet sand and polish. Not too bad for a stupid fabricator. Too bad the tins are going on a ladies virago.

Can't stop mocking

 Got  the engine back in just in time for the new year. Getting excited to ride it now.

Rear binders

Put together a freshend up master cylinder and pedal setup earlier today too. Ok. Not that impressive a task but with the slow progress lately this constitutes an accomplishment.
