Saginaw

So the Saginaw Manual Three is on the bench. It actually came out pretty damn fast. All those oily bolts loosen up pretty easy. Looks like a broken tooth is causing the thwap thwap thwap. Hopfully Dr. Daryl can find me a suitable donor gear and/or tranny and we can do the swap.

Thanks again and again and again Daryl. This one's for you...

  1. a gear with a broken tooth??!! Wtf!! That tranny's not even 50 years old!! They just don't make'm like they used too.....uh...oh wait....

Should you want to restore the mechanisms to their origional operating "smoothness", Sr and I included in the transmission fluid the secret additive called Power Up. I forget what it is but he runs it in his farm machinery. I'm happy that I added it. It prologed the life of that gear long enough so...uh...that this was never my problem. Harararar!

  3. Sadly the Mule will not make it to Cruise Weekend this year. It's not so much a matter of the work to be done as it is locating the part. Anyone know of a pre-synchro Saginaw Three speed that needs liberating?
